PENDAHULUAN TRAINING
Pada rotary machinery dengan adanya beban dan umur akan cenderung mengalami kerusakan. Kerusakan tidak akan terjadi tiba-tiba melainkan dari sedikit demi sedikit dan akan ditandai dengan timbulnya getaran yang berlebihan. Getaran kadang-kadang perlu dibatasi tetapi dapat juga dikehendaki. Getaran yang dikehendaki misalnya untuk kebutuhan penumbuk tanah, pengayak, vibrator dan lain sebagainya, sedangkan getaran pada mesin secara umum perlu dicegah.
Masalah-masalah umum yang dapat menimbulkan getaran pada mesin antara lain ketidakseimbangan elemen yang berputar, poros melentur, kerusakan roda gigi, kurang baiknya transmisi sabuk dan bantalan, momen punter bervariasi, kelonggaran ikatan, dan kurang baiknya pelumasan.
Efek atau akibat kerusakan-kerusakan seperti disebutkan di atas antara lain meningkatnya beban pada bantalan sehingga menurunkan umur bantalan, meningkatnya beban pada mesin, meningkatnya tegangan pada komponen mesin yang disebabkan karena kelelahan, dan menimbulkan efek unbalance pada rotating parts dan percepatan dan perlambatan pada mesin. Untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan lebih jauh diperlukan monitoring atau inspeksi getaran secara rutin. Dari hasil pengukuran amplitudo, frekuensi, dan FFT akan dapat diketahui sumber terjadinya kerusakan.

TUJUAN TRAINING
Pemahaman tentang pengetahuan getaran mekanik, dan dapat melakukan monitoring getaran mesin, serta dapat mengukur dan menganalisis sumber getaran.
MATERI TRAINING ANALISIS DAN PENGUKURAN GETARAN MEKANIK
1. Getaran dasar (Fundamental of vibration)
- Pengertian getaran, macam-macam getaran, gerakan harmonik sederhana, dan metoda bilangan kompleks
2. Getaran bebas derajat kebebasan tunggal (Free vibration single degree of freedom)
- Getaran bebas derajat kebebsan tunggal tanpa dan dengan peredam, getaran torsi derajat kebebasan tunggal, dan persamaan gerak derajat kebebasan tunggal
3. Getaran bebas derajat kebebasan paksa (Forced vibration single degree of freedom)
- Getaran paksa eksitasi harmonik, getaran paksa dengan ketidakseimbangan massa putar, getaran paksa pada tumpuan bergerak, dan getaran paksa dengan periode eksitasi
4. Getaran derajat kebebasan dua (Vibration of two degree of freedom)
- Getaran derajat kebebasan dua tanpa dan dengan peredam, dan getaran torsi derajat kebebasan dua
5. Getaran derajat kebebasan banyak (Vibration of multi degree ofreedom).
- Getaran bebas derajat kebebasan banyak, getaran paksa derajat kebebasan banyak, dan getaran sistem kontinyu.
6. Pemeriksaan getaran dan diagnosis (Measuring of vibration and diagnosis)
- Dasar-dasar dan karakteristik getaran, unit pengukuran, parameter getaran, pemilihan parameter pengukuran getaran, transduser dan alat ukur getaran, titik dan arah pengukuran getaran, batas-batas getaran yang diijinkan, dan interprestasi dan analisis getaran: Tidak seimbang (Unbalance), ketidaksebarisan (misalignment), oil whirl, kerusakan bantalan gelinding, dan getaran akibat kerusakan roda gigi.
