GAS DEHYDRATION AND GLYCOL REGENERATION

GAS DEHYDRATION AND GLYCOL REGENERATION

Bandung | April 06 ‐ 09, 2015 | Rp. 9.900.000,-/participant

Course Description and Benefits

condense in pipelines and accumulate at low points along the line, reducing its flow capacity. Therefore, the removal of the water that is associated with natural gases in vapor form is one critical step in gas processing scheme. Several methods have been developed to dehydrate gases on an industrial scale. The three major methods are: direct cooling, adsorption and absorption. Glycol and methanol injection, glycol dehydration contactor, and glycol regeneration are important issues in gas production operations.

This course is designed as an effective practical shortcut to understand the principles of glycol injection, glycol dehydration and glycol recovery with all features and problems encountered in gas dehydration process and operations for engineers, operators, technicians, and anyone who involve or responsible in gas production to sales.
The course content and approach are designed to suit participants of different background and different position in the company. It will be delivered as a to-the-point explanation by a professional instructor, utilizing an easy-to-understand examples and illustrations, especially the actual findings in Indonesia.

By attending this course, participants are able to broaden or reshape their knowledge on the related subjects of his or her area of responsibility, learn more about the principles of hydrate prevention, adsorption with solid desiccants, absorption with liquid desiccants, glycol injection and separation at low temperature, contactor process and operations, regenerator process and operations, identify and discuss the function of each component used in dehydration unit, and trace process flow through a typical onshore and offshore dehydration systems, discuss and consult their specific problems they are about to bring to the class, and share experiences with others.

After completion of this course, participants will understand how each component in the unit operates, the effects of process variables, what and how to monitor the unit and make necessary adjustments, what and how to perform routine maintenance, and trobleshooting common problems affecting proper operation of the unit, in order to achieve the goals of gas dehydration.
