OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE
After completion of this course participants should be able to;

1. Understand the applicable hazardous material regulations
2.  Identify Hazardous Substances in their work place
3. Manage Hazardous Substances storage and derive specific requirements for storage
4. To understand safe work practice including selection and use of Personal Protective Equipments
5. Appropriately label and mark Hazardous Substances according to applicable code of practice
6. Plan for emergency response, control the extend of contamination that might occur and if necessary perform decontamination
7. Understand the effect of Hazardous Substances to human health, safety and the environment

 

Overview

This training program has been catered to equip participants with understanding and hands on knowledge in handling Hazardous Substances in the workplace. Participants shall exposed into an intensive discussion and workgroup to stimulate everyday working conditions. The training shall be a combination between class and field practice.

 

Goal of the Course

The goal of the course is to equip participants with sufficient knowledge and understanding on how to identify Hazardous Substances, Hazards and its effect to human health and the environment, how to handle Hazardous Substances  during storage or transit and how to plan in an emergency situations.
