DESCRIPTION
Pumping slurry is a complex and important process. In this advanced, a course emphasis is put on the hydraulic transport of solids-water mixtures with centrifugal pumps and through pipeline systems and participants will be familiarised with all aspects of pumps and slurry transport and their relation to dredging operations and production calculations in practice.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course aims to provide the participants with understanding of all important phenomena and therefore the dos and don’ts of slurry transport in dredging and wet mining and enables the participants to perform basic calculations. The course introduces participants to fundamental fluid mechanic theories.
