Description
This course describes, from a practitioner’s viewpoint, methods used to design projects intended to improve the quality of life of people in a developing country. The methods are not restricted to this application, however. Similar methods are used by large for-profit organizations in many countries. The methods are applicable to any situation where ideas need to be collected from a group of people and then worked on by the group. They are particularly useful for group problem-solving situations. One variation of the method is known as the KJ method. This is one of many tools used in the area of Total Quality Management.
